Rosalind, As You Like It
Our actor was willing to cut her own lovely, curly hair short for her turn as Ganymede; but we needed that long "feminine" look for the first scenes. I dressed a 3/4 wig that matched her color and curls, and we styled the front of her own hair over the hard front. It blended so well, patrons asked us how we pulled off the transformation so quickly!

The time-traveling epic drama by Sarah Ruhl called for multiple wig looks and required quick in and out. Here, a Rococo style I created from a synthetic hard front commercial wig.

Another wig that is meant to look like a wig, Queen Elizabeth's signature red style is recreated here from a thin, long synthetic wig. I dressed it with intensive heat treatments for volume and texture, followed by meticulous trimming and pinning. Pearls at the front and around the back bun finished the look.
Ensemble, Mr. Burns by Anne Washburn
In the third act of this post-apocalyptic play, the bizarre ritualized production of The Simpsons called for a handed-down, imagined interpretation of their iconic looks. This included, in my design, a grotesque and funhouse-inspired aesthetic. Felted crowns and Homer and Marge wigs made of naalbound yarn capped the looks.
